BOARD AND TRAIN

What is boarding school?

It's like summer camp for your dog! Your dog will stay at MuttSchool while training during the day Monday-Friday. We do not do weekend boarding.

Our boarding school program is designed for people who do not have the time, knowledge or desire to train their dog but still want a well-behaved family pet. MuttSchool trainers will instill proper manners, offer enrichment opportunities plus help expose your dog to many new people, objects and environments that they might not have had the opportunity to experience before. MuttSchool follows the LIMA approach for dog training and DOES NOT use training equipment that imparts pain, fear or intimidation on your dog. We DO NOT use choke chains, pinch collars or shock collars during training.

MuttSchool trains boarding school dogs during the day Monday-Friday. Currently, we can not board over the weekend due to our facility being used for group classes on Saturday and Sunday.

To make the transition from boarding school to home go smoothly, we include private lessons with all of our packages. This is so you can learn what we have taught the dog and can continue to reinforce it when the dog returns to your home.

MuttSchool Training Center
Benefits of Board and Train

During boarding school, your dog will:

Learn new behaviors

Using scientifically-based methods, your dog will establish a system of lifelong communication through building behaviors and strengthening skills.

Save you time

Training your dog takes time and consistency. If you don’t have the time and expertise to do the training, MuttSchool CCPDT-certified trainers can take this task off your to do list.

Enjoy training

We teach so that it’s a fun, positive experience for both you and the dog. We are dedicated to provide you with the tools you need to have a confident, well-mannered and happy canine.

Reduce bad habits

A dog with fewer bad habits means you have less frustration and will be able to enjoy spending time with your dog more.

Learn without pain

MuttSchool does not use training equipment that imparts pain, fear or intimidation on your dog. We DO NOT use choke chains, pinch collars or shock collars during training.

Transition to home

Most of our boarding school packages include private lessons to help transition what your dog learns during their stay to your home environment.
