Having a dog with behavioral problems IS challenging.

MuttSchool offers programs for dogs exhibiting behaviors that are difficult to live with.

If you’ve lost your patience and voice yelling at your dog to “shut up”, email us at info@muttschool-ks! Our instructors can show you ways to bring back the peace and quiet to your household

Chewing is a natural behavior for dogs and puppies. This behavior will always require you to give them appropriate things to chew on. If not, they will create their own chew toys out of things you don’t want them to destroy. Before the inevitable happens and the dog chews the heel off your favorite Manolo Blahnik pumps, call MuttSchool for ideas on how to SAVE YOUR SHOES and other personal property!

If your lawn is starting to look like a lunar landscape, then you might want to ask our instructors about the ways to stop your dog from digging. MuttSchool instructors can help you figure out why your dog digs and give solutions to a hole-free landscape.

If your dog believes the grass is always greener on the other side of your fence, then you need to call MuttSchool for some help with boundary training!

house training

Are you having trouble teaching your puppy (or adult dog) to eliminate outside? Don’t despair. MuttSchool trainers are here to help you with the process of house training your dog.

If your dog has pogo sticks for legs and your family and friends are getting frustrated by your dog jumping on them, then give us a call. MuttSchool instructors are happy to show you ways to tame the bounce.

Mouthing, play biting and nipping are natural behaviors for puppies. However, if nipping is rewarded during puppyhood, this behavior can turn into full on biting as an adult. If your adolescent puppy isn’t outgrowing these behaviors, it’s time to call MuttSchool to nip it in the butt!

Does your dog growl or snap at you when it has toys, food, or a chewie? Does he have a coveted place like a bed or a chair that no person or dog is allowed to share? Dog’s that resource guard can be a danger to you or members of your family as the risk for a bite is high. Give MuttSchool a call for help with resource guarding.

My, what big ears you have!

But, if your dog doesn’t use those big ears to listen to you, then what good are they!  MuttSchool’s instructors can show you how to keep your dog focused on you so you always have their ear.

Together, we can make positive changes in your dog's behavior.

It is easy to get discouraged with your dog’s misbehavior. The good news is that depending on how self-rewarding the unwanted behavior has been to your dog, most of the time it can be solved through patience, consistency and TRAINING. Keep in mind that your dog didn’t develop these unwanted behaviors overnight and fixing them is not always a quick process.

To get started with behavioral training, simply follow the three steps below.

Your first step is to sign up for a Behavior Evaluation. During the evaluation, your MuttSchool instructor will meet you and your dog to discuss what is happening first hand. With your input, we will devise a training plan and leave you with ways to start managing the behavior while we work on the long term solutions to help resolve the challenges you are facing with your dog.

After the evaluation, you will have your instructor’s recommendations on launching your dog’s behavioral training. You can sign up for packages of private lessons below. These can be held at your home, MuttSchool, a park or other agreed on location.

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION LESSONS (package of 20) — $1,620 save 10%
Need a more intensive program? Our ROWDY ROVER PROGRAM is a 6-month multifaceted behavior program. Click for more details.

Training doesn’t end when your package of  lessons are over. Your instructor will give you an ongoing maintenance plan. Behaviors can revert back quickly if you don’t continue to reinforce the new improved behaviors.
